- Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

CHECK-OUT RULES:
- LIBRARY CARDS
- Library cards are issued to anyone entering the first grade or older. Children under 14 must obtain parent's signature in order to get a card. Your first library card is free. If your card is lost or damaged, a replacement card costs
$5.00.
- CHECK-OUT PERIOD
- These items check out for 2 weeks, NO renewal:
- Circulating Reference Materials
- Genealogy Books and Microfilms
- Videocassettes (check out on ADULT library cards only)
These items
check out for 2 weeks, 1 renewal:
- Rental Books (McNaughtons)
- Land of Enchantment
- Audiocassettes
- Kits
All items not listed above check out for four weeks, with one renewal.

- OVERDUE MATERIALS
- You will not be allowed to borrow more library materials until you have returned the past due items. There is
a set rate for overdue fines.

- CHILDREN'S USE OF LIBRARY MATERIALS
- The library staff and its board, as well as the City of Lovington, will not assume the role of parent in restricting access of children to library materials. Parents or guardians who do not want their children to have access to certain materials or information must assume that responsibility.
- A general guide to reading/interest levels in the youth collection follows. The appropriate designation appears on each book's spine label.
- E - Grades K-3
- J - Grades 3-5
- J-Y - Grades 5-7
- Y - Grades 7 and up
CODE OF CONDUCT
In order to protect the rights of individuals who are in the Library to
use
library materials and/or services, to protect the rights of staff members to
conduct library business without interference the following prohibited
activities within the Library or on library property include but is not
limited to the
following:

An individual who violates this policy may be required to leave the
- premises and may
forfeit their library privileges.
